||
We are continuing to urge the victim of an assault in Rugeley, which took place at the end of July, to come forward. We were called by a member of the public at 7.20am on 26 July to Wheelhouse Road following reports of violence. A man had been hit in the head with a wrench at the entrance of St Augustine’s Road before leaving the scene on foot in the direction of Armitage Road and Buckmaster Way. We believe he was a passenger in a white BMW two series prior to the assault. The suspect drove away from the scene in the direction of Rugeley town centre in a white Volkswagen Caddy Maxi. We have conducted inquiries locally and a 30-year-old man, from Rugeley, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He has since been placed on bail while our inquiries continue. The victim is believed to be a white man, in his 30s, around 6ft tall and was wearing a grey top. Anyone who knows the victim, or has relevant information, CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 195 of 26 July. To report anonymously, contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. | ||
